Crafted with care, purpose, and ingredients you can trust. Because what touches your skin should be pure, effective, and worth every drop.
After years of expensive skincare routines that promised everything and delivered little, our founders sat down at a kitchen table and asked a simple question: why does clean, effective skincare have to cost a fortune — and why does it have to be full of ingredients no one can pronounce? The answer, it turned out, was that it doesn't. That kitchen table conversation was the beginning of Lumie.
The first Apricot Body Scrub recipe didn't work. Neither did the second, or the third. Forty-seven batches later, we had something that felt genuinely different — a scrub that smelled like real apricot, exfoliated without tearing, and left skin so soft that friends started asking if they could buy it. We said yes.
Every ingredient was scrutinised. If we couldn't trace it to a source we trusted, it didn't go in. We partnered with a certified Canadian manufacturer and earned our Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certification. Not because it was a marketing badge — but because it was the only way we'd be comfortable putting our name on the label.
Customers kept asking: "Do you make a mist? A face scrub?" We listened. The Lavender Soothing Mist, Rose Nourishing Mist, and Sunflower Facial Scrub were born from real conversations with real people who trusted us enough to tell us what their skin needed. Each product took the same obsessive development process as the first.
Lumie has now reached customers across the UK, Canada, and beyond — but nothing about how we work has changed. Every formula is still reviewed line by line. Every ingredient still has to justify its place. We still believe the beauty industry needs to change, and we're still doing it one honest product at a time.
They're the reason we exist. Every decision we make — from suppliers to packaging — runs through these four filters.
Every ingredient listed. Every source traceable. No hidden fillers, no proprietary blends to obscure what's actually in the jar.
Leaping Bunny certified. Not because it's trendy — because testing on animals is something we will never do, full stop.
Recyclable packaging. Carbon-neutral shipping. We're working toward fully refillable products by 2026 — not as a goal, as a deadline.
Every product is dermatologist tested. If it doesn't work better than what you're already using, we won't put it on the shelf.
We're people who spent too much money on skincare that didn't work, read too many ingredient lists that read like chemistry textbooks, and decided enough was enough.
Lumie started because we wanted products we could actually trust — products where every ingredient earned its place, where the packaging didn't outlast the planet, and where the price didn't assume skincare was only for people who could afford luxury.
We still handpick every supplier. We still argue over formulas until they're right. And we still believe that beautiful skin shouldn't require a compromise between what's good for you and what's good for the world.
